Nepal is located in between China and India.
My village is in northeast Nepal, which is a one day bus ride and four day hike from Kathmandu (Capital City of Nepal).
In my village of Hungung the majority of villagers are Buddhist.
Born and Raised in a Buddhist Family
The house in the photo is a summer home above my village. We live there for about six months raising Yaks. My father and some of my siblings are in this photo. This photo was taken in 2001, none of my brothers were saved at that time, nor were they exposed to school. They lived and grew up in the woods.
Now they are saved
Five of my brothers are now professing Christians and they pursuing their education. Kinsang - Undergraduate - Freshman, Pasang - 12th Grade, Tenjing - 9th Grade, Gunjing - 7th Grade, and Mikma - 1st Grade.
My Family in 2009
This photo was taken in 2009 when I was preparing to study in the USA. My daughter was two and half years old and my son was five months old (inside the basket).
We Serve in Nepal!
My family and I moved back to Nepal in 2017 after I completed my undergraduate and master's degrees, as well as some doctoral courses. My kids, who grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and consider it their hometown, have been deeply influenced by our spiritual journey. My 16-year-old daughter was baptized at the age of 12, and my 14-year-old son is currently preparing for his own baptism. After moving back to Nepal, we dedicated our lives to the fulfillment of the "ScaryDream.
Our long-term objectives are to strengthen the local church through theological education and reach out the next generation through Christian education.
Before we pass away, we hope to see 1,500 schools, 400 churches, and a theological school in operation and bring about change in the mission dynamics. We are praying, working hard, and dreaming for this.
From 2017 to 2031, we consider it our foundational period. During this time, we will establish model schools, learn valuable lessons, train leaders and teachers to operate schools and churches, develop video curricula, and aim to have our schools recognized and accredited by esteemed institutions such as Cambridge International in the UK or the Middle School Association in the USA.
Currently, we have two and three affiliated schools, making a total of five schools with 1,000 students. We also have four churches. Additionally, we have a TEE Bible college with 7,000 students (involving 1,000 churches). We are currently piloting an undergraduate program with eight students from Serampore University in India. Moreover, we are in the process of piloting a teacher education program from Cedarville University in Ohio, USA. We are also exploring possibilities to establish connections with Chinese universities for medical and computer science studies.
From 2031 onwards, we will enter the building-up period. During this time, we aim to see our model schools established in many areas, utilizing the tools and resources we developed during the foundational period.
